The 2012-3013 academic year began with the 8-week long Harvard Orthopedic Surgery Anatomy Course. Headed by Dr. Scott Martin, the annual course provides the residents full 24-hour access to fresh-frozen cadavers for extremity and spine dissections. Each year, the residents take part in surgical prosections on Tuesday nights focused on specific approaches. Lecturers included Dr. Thomas Gill IV, team physician for the New England Patriots, Dr. Scott Martin, Dr. Bertram Zarins, Dr. David Ring, Dr. Chaitanya Mudgal, Dr. John Kwon, Dr. Jeremy Smith, Dr. Travis Matheny, Dr. Michael Weaver and Dr. Chris Bono. The course is an invaluable part of resident education and highlights the faculty commitment to resident education.
