Resident Life

15th Annual Golf Tournament

The 15th Annual Residency Golf Tournament was held on Friday, May 31st and was once again a huge success. We had a record 80 golfers competing for the newly reinstated Harvard Orthopaedic Cup. For the third year in a row, Team DJD with Lou Silva, Jed Prescott, Rob Oteri and Mat Nahmias took the cup with an amazing 11-under score. Dr. Rubash led his team of Tom Cha, Sue Don and Kevin Raskin (with a brief appearance by Chris Cahill) to a close second place. We had a special putting award go out to Conor Moses, the son of former resident Jeremy Moses, who not only sank everything on the greens but help lead his team of Jeremy Moses, Joe McCarthy and Bill Healy to a solid third place finish. Longest Drive Women’s went to Cathy Looney and Longest Drive Men’s went to Tom Cha. Clay Schwabe dropped a dime against a difficult pin position on the par-3 hole 3 winning the closest to the pin competition at 6 feet 4 inches.

We truly appreciate the support from the players and the generosity of the sponsors for this great event. We would like to send a personal thanks to Dr. Rubash and Kate McKienan for all the guidance and hard work. This event could not have happened without them.

Next year, the adminstrative duties will be headed by Brandon Beamer and Shaun Patel. With your generous support, we are confident that they will keep this wonderful HCORP tradition alive.

Thank you all once again and we look forward to seeing you in 2014.
